Support sought for green medians along FM 1960
By OBSERVER STAFF REPORTS
The Green Medians Steering Committee is calling on citizens and business owners to ensure that the new medians going up along FM 1960 are green not gray.
The committee, which is made up business owners who belong to the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, believes the green of grass and other vegetation will go a long way in revitalizing the FM 1960 area.
Unless the community raises funds to landscape and beautify the medians, then TxDOT will construct them with concrete or asphalt when the project is completed in August.
The specific medians are located between the Mills and Gatewick communities, east of I-45 and west of Highway 249.
Tax deductible donations are payable to Green Medians - Houston Chamber of Commerce Foundations, 14511 Falling Creek, Suite 205, Houston, TX 77014.
