Candlelight tours scheduled for historic Fort Bend home
From staff reports
Fort Bend residents can get into the holiday spirit with local candlelight tours and carolers singing Christmas songs at the historic John M. Moore home in Richmond.
"The house is so beautiful when it's decorated for the holidays and the candlelight makes it extra special," Fort Bend Museum Education Coordinator Claire Rogers said in a release.
The candle light tours will begin Friday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then resume at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets for the Candlelight Tours are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children.
Tours will also be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
After the final tour a raffle will be held with the grand prize of a king-sized strip quilt.
Raffle tickets are available now for $2 each, $5 for three tickets or $15 for 10 tickets. Tickets are available at the Fort Bend Museum or from any Docent.
The Candlelight Corner store will have gifts available to purchase and complimentary homemade cookies and punch will be served on the porch.
The event is sponsored by the Fort Bend Museum Docements with all proceeds to benefit the Fort Bend Museum.
