League City departments move to Main Street

Updated: 08.12.08
The City of League City Fire Marshal, planning, building inspections and economic development departments are moving to the Amegy Bank Building located at 305 E. Main Street on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14 -15.

The departments are joining the engineering and parks departments, which moved a few weeks ago. While the building inspections department will remain open during these days, the city asks residents to understand that some operations may be limited during this time.

The new mailing address for these departments will be 305 E. Main Street, League City, TX 77573. When sending mail or deliveries via courier, the city asks residents to address it to the appropriate department. The phone numbers will remain the same.

League City said it hopes to provide more efficient service to its citizens and customers by consolidating the land management functions at one location. The new location features a lounge where citizens and customers can stop by to find out about the construction next door, apply for a pool permit or simply enjoy a cup of coffee while logging onto the wireless Internet.

The city said this move is just the first phase in streamlining its processes to provide the community with better service. In the next three months, the departments will be working steadfastly to coordinate and implement these services.

If residents have any questions or ideas on how to help the city make these changes happen, they should contact Tony Allender at 281-554-1444 or tony.allender@leaguecity.com.
