Christian Brothers Automotive puts customers, service first

Once a customer steps inside the waiting room at Christian Brothers Automotive in Atascocita, he or she is greeted with plush leather couches, relaxing music and a bottle of water. With this welcome, customers might forget they are waiting for their car to be serviced.

The automotive franchise which has been in existence since 1982 has been serving the Atascocita and surrounding communities for the past two years.

“When a customer walks into any Christian Brothers Automotive they are greeted by a clean and organized waiting room, which is what they can expect in our service bays,” Atascocita franchise owner Mark Trulock said.

“We treat our customers like family and provide friendly, honest service to everyone.”

Christian Brothers Automotive was first started by two friends who attended the same church and wanted to start their own automotive business; thus the name Christian Brothers was exactly what they stood for and wanted their customers to associate with their service.

Trulock joined the team as owner of the Atascocita Christian Brothers Automotive less than a year ago after leaving the teaching profession.

“I had a close friend that informed me about the company and when I got more information about it, I was sold,” Trulock said. “I grew up doing automotive work, so after teaching it was the perfect fit for me and my family.”

Currently, there are 53 Christian Brothers Automotive centers across the United States, including 14 locations in the Houston area.

The business offers a variety of services, including alignment adjustments, tire rotations, oil changes, maintenance and air conditioning work, to customers.

“We want our customers to feel like they are taken care of and at home when they come to our shop,” Trulock said. “Our motto is ‘To glorify God by providing ethical and excellent automotive repair service for our customers, according to Colossians 3:17.’”

Christian Brothers Automotive in Atascocita even has free Bibles that are available for the taking by customers.

With nine automotive bays and a full-time staff of master technicians who are all Automotive Service Excellence certified, Christian Brothers Automotive makes sure to pay attention to the customers’ needs.

The staff has received several odd requests such as a customer asking them to fit the rubber back on his wheelchair and a customer arriving at the shop in a 1950 Chevy Deluxe for repairs; a variety of unique customers cycle through the shop.

Additionally, Christian Brothers Automotive offers discounts for teachers, firefighters, police and EMS personnel along with a free customer shuttle.

“Our customers know that if they have any problem, they can come to us directly and express their concerns. Our customers can expect friendly service and will feel comfortable at our shop,” Trulock said.

“We hope residents will come and check out our business and enjoy our personable service that we offer to everyone and anyone.”
